2018 Visions of the Wild Festival
On behalf of our many partners, I invite your support for the fifth annual 2018 Visions of the Wild festival.
The U.S. Forest Service and the Vallejo Community Arts Foundation are again collaborating with government agencies, non-profit organizations, artists and conservationists to host this vibrant festival that connects nature, culture, and community.
Building on the success of past celebrations of wilderness, water, wildlife and changing landscapes, this year’s theme will be “Wild & Scenic.” We will celebrate the beauty of nature with a particular emphasis on trails and rivers. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Wild & Scenic Rivers and National Trails Acts.
Primary venues include the historic Empress Theatre, the Temple Art Lofts, the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum, and the Vallejo Farmers’ Market.
The four-day festival from Sept. 20th – 23 will include:
• Film Screenings
• Art Exhibitions
• Guest Speakers
• River Cruises
• Kayak Tours
• Hiking, Biking and Kayaking trips
• Art Windows
• 2nd Annual Chalk Art Festival
• Nature Discovery Zone
In addition, we have scheduled numerous pre-festival events throughout the spring and summer months. All of the events and activities are listed on the Visions of the Wild website: visionsofthewild.org.
As in years past, all festival events except the river cruises are FREE and open to all! Our goal is to reach and involve as many Bay Area residents and families as possible.
If your business or organization would like to be involved, or make a tax-deductible donation to support the festival, please contact me. In order to be recognized in our promotional material, please reply by June 1.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to hearing from you!
