Family Workshop: Magical Glass: A Holiday Celebration of Stained Glass

Geared for children aged 6 - 10 and their adult companions, the world of stained glass will come alive in this fun, interactive workshop at St. Peter’s Chapel on Mare Island. The session will start with a look at the Chapel’s luminous stained glass windows, which include 25 by Tiffany Studios, as the children learn how they were made and what stories they tell. Next, everyone will make their own tissue paper stained glass window from templates that celebrate many Holiday traditions, including Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. This community holiday event is offered free of charge! It is co-sponsored with Alibi Bookshop of downtown Vallejo, who will have a fun selection of holiday books available to purchase. The class is free and limited to 12 children per session – so reserve your space today! Children must be accompanied by an adult. There are 2 sessions for this workshop: 10-11:30am and 2 - 3:30pm.
